You Are An Obliger!

What does it mean to be an Obliger?

Obligers easily meet other people's expectations, but struggle to meet their own. They are motivated by accountability and often ask themselves, "What do I have to do today?"

They are great at going the extra mile to meet deadlines and demands and are seen as responsible and reliable. However, the same cannot be said for personal expectations. It is hard for them to meet goals or resolutions they set for themselves, without accountability.

In fact, even if they want to do something, they may still need accountability. For example, getting a workout buddy to go to the gym with.

Obligers are susceptible to burnout because they give their time to others and don't take time out for themselves. And may lash out by suddenly refusing to meet expectations, called Obliger-Rebellion.

If you are an Obliger, here's how you can form a healthy habit of exercising:

  1. Hire a personal trainer, coach, or have a workout buddy/partner.
  2. Take classes or join groups with teachers or peers who will notice if you don't show up.
  3. Consider yourself as a role model to other people and also to your future self, to make yourself accountable to yourself as a good example.

Once you understand your tendency and motivations, it's easier to start and follow through with a new healthy habit.

You can start by sitting down with our fitness trainers to set personalized goals, create a roadmap that best suits your personality and motivations, and come up with a unique exercise and nutrition plan to help you reach those goals.

Bringing Science Back Into Fitness

We're as fed up as you are.  You've tried every "secret" and "solution" to get fit but nothing works. And you're thinking to yourself that maybe you should just stop trying.

That's what a lot of our clients experienced before they found us. And through our exercise and fitness programming, they managed to finally see a real change.

The difference is because unlike everyone else, we're focused on good ol' science and habit-building to help you get results.

what some of our clients have said about us and their results

"You really did a good job. I started to gain some confidence in myself. Let's jiayou!"

"Thanks Jazz for planning routines and training me. This is the most in shape I've ever been in years!"

"I tried on a new dress and it was a hit cos I was slim enough to pull it off."

"Thanks bro! I'm super pumped up with the progress! You've been amazing at motivating!"

"Everyone says I lost weight and more muscular."

"I trust all the trainers under (BodyEngineers) since Nancy is good. Kai Zhen too. Look at Rachel's results. The team is good."

"I got compliments that I look more fit."

Its been 3 months that I have been trained by Jazz. He is such a gem of a coach in motivating to reach the desired goal. I would rate 10 out of 10 for him for being along with me in this journey.

"Jazz, you should be proud of me. I hit 49 kg flat this morning. I did 15 pull ups (not all at once obviously). And went back to 43 kg for wide grip pull down."
